Romans 8:5-11, Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Romans 12:1-2, Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:9-16, 21, Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 16:20, The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Lesson One: A renewed mind is grateful.
• A renewed mind recognizes God’s mercy and lives with a constant spirit of thanksgiving.
Romans 11:33-36, Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Lesson Two: A renewed mind is secure.
• A renewed mind finds its identity and security in the cross and the finished work of Christ

• A renewed mind finds seeks opportunities to bring value to others, reflecting the love and availability of Jesus in everyday interactions

Lesson Four: A renewed mind is alert.
• A renewed mind is awake to the present time, knowing that salvation is near and living with intentionality
Romans 13:11, And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

Lesson Five: A renewed mind is confident.
• A renewed mind possesses a victory mindset, trusting that God’s plan prevails even amidst life’s chaos, and that the ultimate victory belongs to Christ
