Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 10:11-13
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
.
Lesson One: Invitation is the way out of temptation.
• The battle isn’t won by saying no to temptation—the battle is won by saying yes to the invitation

The Invitation
To know God
James 1:16-17, Don’t be deceived my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.
To Walk Wise
Romans 13:14, But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
To Renew the Mind
Romans 12:2, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
To intimacy with God
John 10:27, My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
