Spirit and Truth
Key Scriptures: John 4:23-24
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Lesson One: We are LED by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:11, And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you.
Lesson Two: We are EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit.
Mark 12:30, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Lesson Three: We are CONFORMED more and more into the likeness of Jesus.
Spirit—the mystery, the heart, the passion, and connection. The leading of his Spirit to bring change and to conform us into the image of Jesus.
Truth—what words and actions we use in times of worship…AND what God speaks, reveals and asks of me will ALWAYS align with truth…the Word of God and his character.
